HALEIGH NICKERSON

(b. 1994) is a multidisciplinary artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. Nickerson received her Bachelors in Art Practice with a minor in Ethnic Studies from The University of California, Berkeley in 2015. In 2017, Nickerson earned her MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons: The New School for Design. Her work explores the many intersections of race, gender, beauty and power through self-portrait photography, video, installation, sculpture, and performance.

As an artist navigating three compiled spaces of identity; being black, being a woman, and being on the autism spectrum, she works in exploring the inextricable intersections of her identity; without negotiating.
