NELSON MUNARES

(b. 1976, Lima, Peru) is an architect and artist. His work demonstrates the intermediate position where he stands between both disciplines, it shows an ambiguous halfway point between the flat image and the three-dimensional space. The digital format allows him to manipulate his images with great freedom, this makes it possible to vary their dimension and color, so there can be many versions of the same composition with no two pieces being exactly alike.

His images are mostly created with architectural software, however, they are not the result of a formula, but carefully crafted by hand one bit at a time: The brush has been replaced by the mouse in an expression of "technological craftsmanship".

He currently resides and works in Los Angeles, California.
