Alejandra Moros

(b. 2000, Miami, Florida) has garnered acclaim for her distinct approach to portraiture. She skillfully captures the human form by drawing inspiration from video stills and iPhone photos, specializing in zoomed-in depictions that redefine the boundaries of scale and form. Moros' hyperrealistic canvases, brought to life with a monochromatic palette and meticulous brushwork, transform ordinary subjects into enigmatic, intimately rendered moments. Her art magnifies the inherent mystery that often shrouds individuals, including those closest to us, underscoring the profound bonds that connect people.

Featuring intimate renderings, frequently portraying friends and relatives, skillfully distorting figures to a point of unrecognizable closeness, Moros compels viewers to engage in the intriguing task of discerning the body while prompting reflection on the necessity of such identification. Her artistic representation emphasizes that these bodies are dynamic and multifaceted, symbolizing the most significant individuals in her life and inviting viewers to explore minute details that inspire a larger narrative in their imagination.

In 2021, Moros drew attention with a solo booth at NADA Miami, presented by Dale Zine. She has since continued to make her mark with solo exhibitions at esteemed galleries such as G/ART/EN Gallery in Italy and Spinello Projects in Miami, both in 2023. Her work has also been included in group exhibitions in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Shanghai. Recently, Moros completed a residency at PM/AM.
